Message about Breast Cancer Screening

I remember when I was younger and first became aware of the word "Cancer".  I also remember each time I heard something cause cancer.  I thought, "Whoa, there is a lot of stuff that causes cancer...".  It can be disheartening if you dwell on it, so I like most people, just shrug it off.  We think.  Eh, Everything causes cancer, so I guess I'm going to keep enjoying everything that I'm used to and accept the fact, that I... like most of the population will at some point get some kind of cancer."

I DON'T BUY IT!

You know what doesn't cause cancer?  Food and Medicine in their NATURAL state.  You know what REVERSES cancer?!?!  FOOD AND MEDICINE IN THEIR NATURAL STATE!!!

Breast Cancer Screening (Mammograms) subject you to an increased chance of actually getting breast cancer.  In order to see inside your breast they use RADIATION like in X-Rays! Each time you do it... you douse your breast in cancer causing radiation.

OK.  That sucks.  Right?  So now what?  Don't get screenings, but now what? 

Well, you can always feel your breasts for lumps and bumps, but you actually have more control that you think you do.  You can take a few steps to actually PREVENT yourself from getting cancer.

How?

Stop eating processed foods and using high chemical beauty products.  Here is a list of Natural Beauty Products, and some good information.

Oh and about food.  Eat Local, Eat Organic, and if you can...  I highly recommend going RAW!!!

You can eat Chocolate, Nut Cheeses, Rich Dressings...  These in their raw and natural state contain antioxidants and probiotics that will cleanse your body and make you feel brand new.

Since I stopped eating overcooked and processed food I've gone through such a dramatic change physically and emotionally.  Now I think to myself, "Whoa, GMO tomatoes are mixed with a fish gene?  No, thank you."  If I find out something causes cancer, I'm going to stop.  I'd much rather live my life long and healthy, age slower, and look younger.  You don't need some little pill for beauty, you just need to stop feeding yourself poison.

Monday Funday!!

Today was a good day: )  Besides the fact that I'm feeling gross due to the dreaded crimson wave...  I was able to pull a full %100 raw day: )  I had A LOT of help from friends today since I was in no mood to make anything.


Breakfast:

Juice from my beloved Seed Bistro in Venice... without which I might never be tardy...  I mean healthy: )

Lunch:

I know, I know... It doesn't look like much, but I felt so crummy today.  This really satisfied my appetite though, and was light to help me feel better: )  My friend Lauren, who has been my mentor in raw foods, makes these yummy Tomato Chips.  Check out her raw juice and food delivery service Clean Bodies.

Dinner:




Sooo.... I'm pretty sure this is pretty much just plain delicious: )  As, I said before... today I didn't make anything on my own: )  I'm so lucky to have such awesome friends!!! Starrm my other mentor in raw foods makes this amazing RAW PIZZA!  This will settle any craving you have to the dreaded thigh bearing greasy mess known as cheese... and gluten for that matter: )  For more info on this wonderful meal check out PurpleGreenOrange Live Fuels.  Oh yeah... did I mention he delivers?!?!

So, my day was good.  I've made up for the last few days of crappy eating.  I feel the difference and I'd have to say eating raw feels sooo much better.

Juice!!! Delicious...

So,  it might take me a little while to get this food blog going.  I recorded my breakfast just fine: )


I was kind of boring yesterday...  I missed lunch so I mostly snacked on my friends raw pizza pepper treats, and some plain fruit.  Dinner I had a salad with all the good raw fixings: Lettuce, Cherry tomatoes, Avocado, capers, olives, and I used a lemon herb dressing.

Towards the evening I had a snack of some corn chips (not raw), and my favorite Raw Fluffy Garlic dip I am obsessed with!!

That was that, I was totally satisfied all day.  I did have some cravings for Amy's brand Unchicken Noodle Soup...

The time is nearly here!!!  As of tomorrow, I will be recording everything I eat for you people.  I know, I know...  You are probably thinking that this might be a bit obsessive... but hey, I want you all to know EXACTLY how I survive.

Rawk Baby

Hi!  I'm Ackley: )   If someone would have told me when I was 16 that I would be a model when I grew up, let alone, on the cover of multiple magazines... I would have never believed it.  I ALWAYS struggled with my weight and body image. 



Ok Ok!  Yes!  I am a model.  In fact, I shoot with little and next to nothing on, so I'll admit...  I liked my body.   But I didn't love it... Why?  Because in order to prepare for my shoots I would literally starve myself for the days before, and I've been on just about every diet pill, supplement and diet plan known to man.

But check out my before and after pictures... you can't deny the pound's I shed naturally after making three simple changes in my life.






I'm short... I claim 5'1" give or take and I weighed 120-125 pounds constantly from about the time I was 19 until about 8 months ago.  Now I am at 106 pounds.  A very healthy weight for someone at my height... and I did it all (I'm not proud of this) without strenuous exercise or crazy dieting.


Crazy dieting!!!  YOU DON'T COOK YOUR FOOD!!!  But how can you resist RAW GOODNESS!



Trust me... I'm not suffering at all.  It's just the opposite.  I've never looked or felt better, I feel like I'm on top of the world, and its possible for EVERYONE to feel this way.
